Up Color Technology

Santanense offers the market Up Color Technology, a technology that maintains a high level of color fastness, even after repeated washing, even on the darkest fabrics, without the need for additional finishes.

Its main application is for Fire fabrics with inherently retarding fiber, such as our Unipar and Unicarbon articles.

The great advantage of this technology is that it allows the duration of the colors to be extended, which means that the uniform itself will have its useful life extended as well.

More intense colors and perfect look from start to finish.

Flame Retardant combined with High Visibility

The concept of high visibility combined with flame retardant is widely used abroad, but still little explored in Brazil, since only the reflective strip with fluorescent material is required, thus arising the need to review the standard.

Electricians and their outsourced workers, industrial electricians, highway concessions, oil and gas industries, oil and offshore platforms and workers in complex environments, are part of the segments that should rethink the use of high-visibility clothing combined with flame retardant to provide greater safety for workers.

Thinking about solutions to guarantee the safety of these sectors, Santanense Workwear developed the Unipar Lux FR fabric which is an inherent flame retardant fabric with fluorescent property. High technology that does not require special finishes, ensuring protection against electric arcs and sudden fire. In addition to presenting excellent mechanical resistance and durability, it provides thermal comfort due to its lightness and the presence of cotton.

Santanense & Joinville Volunteer Fire Department

Santanense is immensely proud to contribute to serious institutions that perform such an exemplary work before society as the Volunteer Fire Department of Joinville, SC.

The Joinville Volunteer Fire Department is the oldest institution of its kind in the country. Since 1892, it has provided free services to the community in firefighting, pre-hospital care, vehicular, mountain, aquatic and vertical rescue. It is made up of 1,700 people, including child firefighters, volunteers, officers, brigade members and support personnel.

This year, CBV – Joinville will participate in Desafio Catarinense de Resgate (DCR), the biggest rescue event in Latin America, which will take place in Chapecó. The event is organized by ALAREV (ASOCIACIÓN LATINO AMERICANA DE RESCATE VEHICULAR) and the Santa Catarina Military Fire Department. The aim is to exchange technical and theoretical knowledge and provide training, resources and systems for rescue services.

And Santanense was in charge of making the uniforms that will be used by the 12 firefighters participating in the CBV – Joinville team, supplying all the fabric (Unilester Rip Stop) used in the production of the overalls for the tests.

We wish CBV – Joinville an excellent participation in the competition. And we reaffirm our pride in contributing to the cause and Santanense's total commitment to the Fire Departments throughout Brazil.

Launching Unipower Premium Liquid Metal

Unipower Premium has the unique advantage of double metallic splash protection of cast aluminum and cast iron in the same fabric.

  • We have achieved Protection Level D3, against metallic splashes from molten aluminum.
  • We have reached Protection Level E3, against metallic splashes from cast iron.

Unipower Premium guarantees the highest levels of protection against metallic aluminum (D3) and cast iron (E3) splashes, in accordance with ISO 11611 and ISO 11612 standards, even after 50 washes. In addition to offering better moisture absorption on the inner face, due to the 100% cotton composition, increasing the user's thermal comfort.

** Test carried out with: iron spillage at approximately 1,400°C, specimen angle at 75° in relation to the horizontal plane and height of 225 mm.

*** No amount of metal was retained in the sample.

FR Fabric Masks

In view of the current situation of COVID-19, in addition to the need for flame retardant clothing for areas at risk of electric arc and sudden fire, to ensure greater safety for workers, the ideal is to use a mask that also contains FR Protection.

We highly recommend using our 100% cotton UNIFORTE SLIM FR fabric as an inner layer (lining), in order to contain moisture and provide greater comfort to the user.

As for the outer layer, we recommend the UNIPAR inherent mixed fabric, which has 48% moda-crylic, 37% cotton and 15% para-aramid in its composition. In addition to having a low moisture absorption value (Regain), that is, it will not easily absorb external liquids.

According to reports made at Instituto Lab System de Pesquisa e Ensaios LTDA, according to ABNT NBR 14673: 2001 – Textile Materials – Determination and Dermal Irritability (Primary and Cumulative) the fabrics: Uniforte Slim FR and Unipar obtained the Irritation Index Dermal: 0.0 | Textile classification: No Irritants.
